  • After you sign up for our Online Financial Service our data systems records certain online information, including the transactions you conduct online. This data enable us to process and confirm your transactions.
  • When you send us e-mail, we will retain the content of the e-mail, your e-mail address, and our response in order to assure we have adequately addressed your inquiry and to handle any follow up questions you may have. We may also use it to measure how effectively we address your concerns. Your e-mail address will not be sold, nor will it be shared with others outside the Credit Union, unless we are required by law to do so.


We may also disclose information we collect about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct the operations of our credit union, follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of our financial records.

What Members Can Do To Help

 

Affinity Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. You can help by following these simple guidelines:

 

  • Protect your account numbers, card numbers, PINs (personal identification numbers) and passwords. Never keep your PIN with your debit or credit card, which can provide free access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.
  • Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other persons. If someone calls you, explains the call is on behalf of the credit union and asks for your account number, you should beware. Official credit union staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.
  • Keep your information current. It is important that we have current information on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know.

Affinity Credit Union Children’s Online Privacy Policy

 

Affinity Credit Union has adopted the following privacy policy for our young members (12 and under) and other visitors to the kids’ section of our website. If you have questions regarding this policy, please contact the Credit Union at (800) 343-1028.

 

We may collect information on domain names, dates and times of visits, and number of page views. This information contains no personal information. It is used only to keep track of usage of our site, and it will help us to continue to improve the overall value of our site. Visitor information is never sold, given, or discussed with third parties.

 

If you send us an email with your personal information to answer a quiz, submit a story, send a recipe, etc., we will respond to your email as appropriate. We may keep your email address for the purpose of sending information about the kids’ section of our website or about Affinity Credit Union. We will not sell, give, or share your personal information to/with any third party vendor or any other organization. We will not condition your participation in an activity on the provision of more personal information than is necessary for you to participate in the activity.

 

If you are a parent of a child whom has sent emails to us regarding items posted to our website, you have the right to review the information your child has sent to us.
