Affinity awards two $1,000 student scholarships
Each year, Affinity Credit Union awards a $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors or students who are currently enrolled in college or who plan to continue their education through an undergraduate degree program or certification from an accredited college, university or technology school.
After reviewing all of this year’s applications, Affinity Credit Union selected two scholarship winners, Samuel Eichhorn and Madison Allen.
Samuel Eichhorn will graduate from Centennial High School and plans to attend the University of Iowa where he hopes to pursue a degree in Finance. Samuel holds a grade point average of 4.165, ACT composite score of 34 and is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Some of Samuel's High School activities include show choir, tennis and marching band.
Madison Allen will graduate from Dowling Catholic High School and plans to attend St. Ambrose University to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy, as well as to play basketball at the collegiate level. Madison holds a grade point average of 3.85 and has been a member of the National Honor Society for four consecutive years. Some of Madison's High School activities include Eco club, Maroon crew leader and Kairos retreat leader.
