Not a kiosk and a call center — a branch built for conversations. Staffed by people from Affinity — some you may already know from Hoffman Lane or South Army Post Road, and some you’ll meet for the first time. Somewhere you can sit down, ask the hard money question, and get a straight answer.
Construction started in June 2026 at 1071 Hughes Dr, and we're aiming to open in March 2027. We'll post the exact opening day here as soon as it's locked.

Can I bank with Affinity before it opens?
Yes. You can open an account online today, and our Hoffman Lane and Army Post Road branches in Des Moines are open now. Nothing about the Norwalk timeline stops you from joining.

We're targeting March 2027. We broke ground in June 2026 and construction is underway. That's a target, not a promise — build schedules move — so get on the list above and you'll hear the exact opening day the moment it's set.

1071 Hughes Dr, Norwalk, IA 50211. The building is going up there now, so you can drive past and watch it happen. Everyone on the list gets the opening date by email as soon as it’s set.
Who can join Affinity?
Membership is open more broadly than most people expect. Ask us and we'll tell you straight whether you're eligible, before you fill anything out.
Why a credit union instead of a bank?
We're member-owned and not-for-profit, so you're an owner, not a profit center. It's why we can show up for people in the moments a bank walks away from.
Will there be a drive-up?
Yes. Both of our Des Moines branches have one, and Norwalk’s design includes it too. At Hoffman Lane and South Army Post Road the drive-up opens half an hour before the lobby and stays open half an hour later — we’ll post Norwalk’s hours closer to opening.
Can I still use the Des Moines branches?
Always. Hoffman Lane and Army Post Road stay open, and Norwalk is an addition, not a replacement. Your account works at all of them.
How do I talk to someone before Norwalk opens?
Ask for one of the lenders above by name. You can schedule time with them today at either Des Moines branch, or over the phone if that's easier.
